Since they are so dear to my heart, and I'm one of their biggest fans. I dedicate my first blog post to my favorite band out there.. Cairokee :)

You might be a fan, you might have heard a couple of their hits, you might have seen the name here and there. But trust me if you haven't dug deep enough, and listened to this talented band, you are missing some amazing music, and you also might be missing a great feeling of pride and patriotism that we all once lacked in our country. I could really go on forever bragging about it. Here is their latest masterpiece and below you will find more information on where to download and read more about the band.

Translation:

(Amir Eid)
hey ya el Midan (tahrir square), where have you been?
with you we sang , with you we struggled , and we fought our fears and prayed.
one hand , day and night , and nothing with you is impossible.
sound of freedom brings us together, our life finally has meaning.
there is no return , our voices are heard , and the dream is not forbidden anymore.

(Aida El Ayouby)
hey ya el Midan (tahrir square), where have you been?
you broke the walls down, switched the lights on,
gathered around you a broken nation, we are born again, and the dream is born.
we disagree but with one pure intention,
sometimes the picture wasnt clear
we will care for our country and our sons, and the rights of who those we lost from our youth .

(Amir Eid & Aida El Ayouby)
hey ya el Midan (tahrir square), where have you been?
with you we felt things and we started things, after being gone and done.
we must change ourselves with our hands.
you gave us alot and the rest is on us.

sometimes i fear you become a memory ,
we drift away and the idea dies,
and we go back to forgetting the what was in the past,
telling stories about you.

(Amir Eid & Aida El Ayouby)
hey ya el Midan (tahrir square), where have you been?
midan full of different types,
those who dont care, those who are brave
those who love it, and those who go with the flow
those who who scream , and those who are silent .

we get together to drink tea, we know how to get our rights back
you made the world hear us, and the neighbors unite.

(Amir Eid & Aida El Ayouby)
hey ya el Midan (tahrir square), where have you been?
our idea is our strength, and our unity is our weapon,

Midan shouts the truth, always says NO to the cruel,
midan like a wave, some ride it and others are pulled.
outsiders say it's chaos , and the actions are our destiny.

hey ya el Midan (tahrir square), where have you been?
